Smoke Ya Oats is the lowest alcohol stout we brew in the winter. At 4.5% abv we made sure to craft this stout with plenty of body and flavor. A heaping portion of oats were added to the mash to create a smooth and dextrinous body. A small portion of peated malt, malt used in scotch making, was also added to the mash. The peated malt, adds an incredible earthen smokes character, attributed to the peat fire used to dry/smoke this malt. Those earthy characters work so well with the intense dark malts used in stouts. A great a night sipper!
